MODAL VERBS
What are modals?
- They are special verbs which behave differently from normal verbs.
What are the differences?
- Firstly, we do not use ''s'' in the third person (e.g. She can cook. He must go now.)
- Secondly, we use ''not'' to make modal verbs negative (e.g. You should not eat it!)
- Thirdly, we do not use modals in the past tenses or the future tenses (e.g. They
willcan stay at home)
What modal verbs are there?
